New Canaan, Connecticut - May 31, 2010 - Bridge Foundation, the New Canaan, Connecticut based humanitarian relief organization announced it delivered four WHO Emergency Health Kits to Kingston, Jamaica.  The health kits are designed to address the basic health care needs of 40,000 people for ninety days.

Responding to the donation, Ronald Jackson, head of ODPEM, lauded Red Stripe and Diageo for their leadership in corporate citizenship and community support.

"Red Stripe has always distinguished itself as a forerunner in enriching the communities in which it operates," said Jackson. "These medical kits will go a very far way under the current circumstances. This is a very clear demonstration of the company's leadership and commitment to business continuity and sustainable economic development throughout every community in Jamaica."

The Bridge Foundation shipment was sponsored through the support of Diageo and Jamaican Brewery Red Stripe.  The distribution of the supplies was coordinated with the cooperation of the Jamaica Red Cross and Jamaica's Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management.

"Bridge Foundation is proud to deliver much needed supplies to help the people of Jamaica during this difficult time," said Drew Hannah, Bridge Foundation Chairman.

Bridge Foundation staff were on the ground in Kingston, Jamaica to oversee the distribution of the shipment.
